Brief introduction to 3M™ ScotchLite™:
3M™ Scotchlite™ reflective material products use a technology known as Retroreflection. It helps the eye perceive light in low-light conditions. In more scientific terms, retroreflection occurs when light rays are returned in the direction from which they came. A large amount of reflected light is returned directly to the original light source, such as a car’s headlights. Since very little light is scattered when the light is returned, retroreflective materials appear brightest to an observer located near the original light source.

Pressure-sensitive adhesive films are composed of retroreflective lenses bonded to a variety of PSA. They are easy to apply to rigid substrates and may be hand-cut, die-cut or kiss-cut, and may be screen printed.
8830 Silver Reflective Marking Film (PSA) - Composed of wide angle, exposed retroreflective lenses bonded to a durable cloth backing (94% polyester, 6% nylon), with a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) applied to the back of the cloth. 3M™ ScotchLite™ reflective marking film meet or exceed the performance tests for helmet markings as specified in NFPA1971 Standard, 1997 Edition for:
1. Retroreflectivity 2. Wet Reflectivity 3. Convective Heat
8850 Silver Reflective Marking Film (PSA) - Composed of wide angle, exposed retroreflective lenses bonded to a rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive. The reflective surface is protected by a white paper carrier for ease in handling, and should be removed after lamination. A plastic liner protects the adhesive surface. Scotchlite reflective material - 8850 silver pressure sensitive adhesive film is certified to meet ANSI/ISEA 107-1999 Level 2 retroreflective performance and EN 471 Class 2 retroreflective performance, and will meet or exceed the established specifications for:
1. Retroreflectivity 2. Wet Reflectivity 3. Abrasion 4. Flexing 5. Cold Fold
Highly durable, adhesive coated opaque sheeting. Engineer Grade Sheeting remains brilliantly reflective even when totally wet by rain. It also retains its reflectivity when viewed at wide entrance angles.
These materials are for use as industrial signing materials only and are not warranted for use on vehicles.
3277 Green Traffic Safety & Sign Reflective Tape (PSA) - This is a durable, enclosed lens reflective sheeting with a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing. Use this sheeting in the production of permanent traffic control and guidance signs.
Fabrics are composed of retroreflective lenses bonded to a variety of fabric backings. They sew easily onto other fabrics and can be embroidered or screen printed for patches and emblems. Fabrics may be hand-cut, die-cut, slit or guillotined.
8910 Silver Reflective Silver Fabric - Composed of wide angle, exposed retroreflective lenses bonded to a durable cloth backing (65% polyester, 35% cotton). Scotchlite reflective material – 8910 silver fabric is certified to meet ANSI/ISEA 107-2004 Level 2 retroreflective performance
and EN 471 Level 2 retroreflective performance, and will meet or exceed the established specifications for:
1. Retroreflectivity 2. Wet Reflectivity 3. Abrasion 4. Flexing 5. Cold Fold 6. Wash 7. Dry Clean
3M™ Diamond Grade™ Conspicuity Markings for trucks and trailers have an acrylic and polycarbonate construction designed to stand up to the rigors of the road and improve the visibility of trucks and trailers to approaching drivers. Conspicuity markings are six times brighter than conventional markings, reflect at angles approaching 90 degrees, are highly durable and non-corroding.
3M™ Diamond Grade™ Conspicuity Marking - Series 983 (983-32) - Red 11 inch/White 7 inch alternating pattern. Series 983-32 meet or exceed all FMVSS 108 requirements, including DOT-C2 Certification Mark. Diamond Grade™ conspicuity markings should provide seven years of field performance also 3M™ offers 7 year warranty (non-prorated) on these conspicuity marking.
